# Time Slots

You can add the working hours for dentists, attached to the specific room. In the calendar, you will see them as background events where you can add new appointments.

Also, when your patients schedule their appointments online, they will be able to select from the available timeslots. 

### Create Time Slot

To add a new time slot, click on the empty calendar cell, the same way how you add new appointments, then switch from **Appointment** to the **Time Slot** tab.

#### Required fields:

* Start/End/Duration - filled automatically by default, can be changed;
* Room - a calendar section (room name), filled automatically by default, can be changed;
* Provider - assigned provider (dentist);
* Frequency - no repeat/daily/weekly/monthly
* Interval/Expire Date - available on daily, weekly, and monthly frequency. For example, a frequency daily and interval 2 means every 2 days from the start date

#### Optional fields:

* Assistant - assign a dental assistant with this time slot.

### Update Time Slot

To edit an existing time slot, click on the calendar cell within this time slot. Then switch from **Appointment** to the **Time Slot** tab.

### Delete Time Slot

* To delete a time slot, click on the calendar cell within this time slot. Then switch from **Appointment** to the **Time Slot** tab.
* Click on the <mark style="background-color:red;">Delete Slot</mark> button, and confirm.

*Note: If you are deleting the recurring time slot, all dates according to that frequency will be removed as well.*
