4️⃣Treatment Plans
Using Plans, you can create and present different treatment variations for your patients without affecting the main Patient Dental Chart.
Once a treatment plan option is approved by the patient, all associated procedures are merged into the main Patient Dental Chart.
Configuration
Procedures: Settings -> Fees/Procedures
Create Treatment Plan
To create a new treatment plan, switch from Visits to Plans using the top tabs, then click the Create Plan button.
The Treatment Plan includes all existing procedures and diagnoses, as well as previously completed procedures, and reflects the patient’s configured dentition type (permanent, primary, or mixed).

Create and Manage Procedures
You can create and manage procedures via Dental Chart and use all the options explained in Dental Chart and Patients Procedures
Split plan into Phases
You can have multiple stages within a treatment plan. Each stage can represent a dental appointment, allowing the treatment plan to be completed over several visits.

Additional Options
You can also use additional options within the treatment plan. These include:
Setting plan-level discounts and taxes
Collecting an upfront deposit
Adding a patient signature
Locking or unlocking the plan to allow or restrict further changes

Link Treatment Plan with Appointments
Once a patient receives the treatment plan and it has been presented, the final step is for the patient to either approve or reject the plan. If the plan is approved, it is automatically locked and cannot be modified further, ensuring that all agreed details remain unchanged.
For approved plans, an updated toolbar is displayed for each phase, allowing you to assign an appointment date.

Automatic Merge
Once Treatment Plan is approved, procedures will be merged automatically into the main plan. For ongoing Treatment Plans, you will see them under the main, Visits tab:

The Treatment Plan module allows clinicians to present multiple treatment options to patients, helping them review, compare, and choose the plan that best fits their needs before proceeding with care.
