# Clinical Exams

Clinical Exams are structured examinations used to record clinical findings that are not represented on the dental chart. They are designed to support detailed assessment across different dental specialties and evaluation types.

Clinical exams are recorded per visit and complement the dental chart rather than replacing it.

### Create Patient Exam

To start a new patient examination, open the patient file and navigate to the **Notes** tab. From there, click **New Exam** and select the required exam template.

Each exam form contains structured fields with text and selection options, organized into logical groups. This allows clinicians to document findings efficiently while maintaining flexibility to add their own clinical notes in a consistent, structured format.
